DINKEY MEMORANDUM GROUP
PROJECT ROLE: DESIGNER
The Dinkey Memorandum Group is a group dedicated to commemorating the history of the Dinkey, a steam engine that was Iowa State University’s first method of mass transportation for students.
Old photographs of the Dinkey were used as inspiration to create the logo design. Iowa State colors were incorporated to represent the Dinkey's significance in Iowa State's heritage. A pattern was developed to represent how the Dinkey connected the city of Ames to the university and all of the stops it made in between.
For collateral two booklets were created, one containing a brief history of the Dinkey, and another as a postcard gift set for those that donate to the organization.
A set of three posters with corresponding postcards was also created for the 2016 fundraising banquet.
A smooth scroll website offers a digital alternative. A business card, letterhead, and envelope set was also developed.
